OK so here is how I describe this film, it's funny, cheesy, silly, but fun....and I will give you my reason on my 4 star rating in just a moment. OK so I've been waiting so many years for Elsa Pataky to get her own standalone action film because you can just tell that she is just built for action roles but sadly she didn't get a standalone action role in the past and the closest we got from her was fast and furious although she was just a side character who appears here and there from that franchise...it's a shame we didn't get to see her much more from that franchise...and this new Netflix film 'Interceptor' is the closest you will get to see her in more action. OK so this is most likely on the cheaper side of Netflix which you can tell due to there is just a lot of cheesy things going on in this film and I will only point out a few things that looks off. The CGI at some parts wasn't the best but only little here and there that looks fine, green screen or blue screen they used was OK at parts but looked off as well due to you can just tell they weren't on these certain locations when the backgrounds look fake. Fighting scenes were good although the way these fight scenes were shot looks cheap as it looks like a fan made YouTube video...it just wasn't cinematic enough and I just know that if these scenes were filmed much more better with better professionals on the set of this film the fight scenes would had looked better....it's just the way how everything was shot that makes the characters look silly at parts while they are fighting. Also there was these scenes that were a little over the top...like when you see Elsa shooting at these villains they just seem to not die LOL the villains just act like a cyborg from the Terminator franchise...it just makes me think why do this when you know it's gonna lead to critics..
And of course  there is some weird thor cross over. Where Chris Hemsworth  is in a Tv/electric  store..  hey look.. I am not saying marvel and Netflix  are working  together  on this flim or love and thunder haha just thought i should throw that in there .. anyway..
Back to the interceptor
.it's just not reality of what they are doing with these characters. As I know Elsa has had a lot of experience in acting she was the only best actor in this film but everybody else was fine but also not the very best...we have seen enough of Elsa in drama roles and it's time to put her in action but not action films like this...it needs to be much more hardcore and much more cinematic that's not cheap and I want to see it on the big screen...but if they do more action with her on Netflix don't put her on the cheap side of Netflix, I will give 4 out of 5 stars for finally putting her in a standalone action role but for the film it's a 2 and a half stars from me.
